Translation
Graduated as a multidisciplinary translator, I specialized in legal translation, which I notably taught at the university as a translation teacher for 4 years. In 2020, I obtained my Certificate in Legal Knowledge and became a sworn translator after having token an oath in front of the Court of Appeal
of Mons.
Post-editing
Revision & proofreading
Post-editing consists of revising a text that has been previously translated by a machine translation engine. Although the development of automatic translation softwares is impressive, the work of the translater remains essential to correct the inevitable errors due to the inhuman nature of those softwares.
As a linguist, expert in the French language, my job also consists of revising and/or proofreading your texts. While the revision is based on the source text in order to verify the fidelity of the translation, the proofreading operates only on the target text. The proofreading mission can therefore go beyond the scope of translation and is then similar to correcting. Concretely, I correct all types of written texts.
