About me

Traductrice et interprète assermentée en Belgique

Elodie Collet

A linguist passionate about interculturality

Graduating with high distinction in 2017 from the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation at the University of Mons, I began an academic career as a lecturer, teaching specialized legal and medical translation, terminology management and professional communication. Alongside this, I launched my freelance translation practice, collaborating with translation agencies, public institutions and private companies.

In 2020, I obtained my certificate in legal knowledge for sworn translators and interpreters, enabling me to register in the Belgian National Register of Sworn Translators and Interpreters (under number VTI 26390262). This certification authorizes me to provide legally certified translations recognized by administrations, embassies, courts and other official institutions in Belgium.

Between 2021 and 2023, I lived in Spain, where alongside my translation work, I taught French as a foreign language — an experience that deepened my intercultural sensitivity and my understanding of multilingual contexts, and that reinforced my conviction that language is far more than a tool: it is a key to social and professional life.

Back in Belgium, I have increasingly focused on supporting non-native residents. After teaching French as a foreign language to asylum seekers, I expanded my work as a sworn translator and interpreter in legal, police, social, and medical settings in Brussels.

My mission: your language should never be a barrier.
